The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) will host a special dialogue with famed contemporary artist Damien Hirst on June 10.
The dialogue, titled “MMCA Artist Talk: Damien Hirst,” is in connection with Hirst’s ongoing exhibition “Nothing is True But Everything is Possible” at the museum.
The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the MMCA Film and Video chamber on the basement floor at MMCA Seoul in Jongno District, in the center of the capital.
The artist is expected to share his philosophy behind his works and his perception of
art, explaining how he visualizes human progress in religion, science and the economy, with people overcoming their limits and eventual death.

Sociologist Yi Jin-kyung from Seoul National University of Science and Technology and Song Su-jong, an art and science researcher from the museum, are set to join the discussion, according to the
MMCA.
In addition to the artist talk, Hirst’s exhibition, which was named "an exhibit that should not be missed this year" among art enthusiasts, features the artist's various works that span from his early works to previously unveiled recent works. The exhibit will run through June 28.
