The coming-of-age film “The World of Love” (2025), directed by Yoon Ga-eun, was invited to the 28th Shanghai International Film Festival, its distributor Barunson E&A said on Thursday.
The film will screen for the festival's Asian Collection, a curated program that spotlights notable films made in other Asian nations.

The Shanghai invitation extends a string of international honors. At the 9th Pingyao International Film Festival last September, “The World of Love” took both the Roberto Rossellini Jury Award and the People's Choice audience award in the Crouching Tigers section for emerging international filmmakers.
It also won the International Federation of Film Critics Prize at the Warsaw Film Festival and competed at Tokyo Filmex after its world premiere in the Platform competition at the Toronto International Film Festival.
