Express train services on Seoul Subway Line No. 9 resumed operations on Tuesday after being suspended for about two hours due to a signal failure.
The signal failure was detected around 10:22 a.m. At the time, all express trains were converted to regular trains. The express train service resumed at around 12:17 p.m. after emergency repair work began about an hour before at 11:17 a.m.
“We are currently identifying the exact cause of the malfunction,” an official said.
Subway Line No. 9 operates two types of trains: the regular local lines and express lines. The line is part of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway.
