JTBC Trail Korea returns this year with more courses to explore
2022-02-22
Thanks to the popularity of JTBC Trail Seoul 157K last year, JTBC Trail Korea will return this year, expanding its scope nationwide.
Last year, the JTBC Trail Seoul 157K drew keen attention, selling out all of its 7,500 tickets in two hours, despite Covid-19. JTBC Trail Office said that the run could quench the thirst for travel of many young people affected by the global pandemic.
This year, JTBC Trail Korea prepared eight courses in four regions: Seoul; Miryang, South Gyeongsang; Suncheon, South Jeolla; and Gangneung, Gangwon. It will run for three months from April 1 to June 30.
The courses have varying difficulty levels and are located in the most beautiful and special places in the country. The four regions in which they are situated have been reorganized for two months by professional trailers to make it easier for all ages.
Like its catchphrase "Let's Go, My Way," JTBC Trail Korea is focused on allowing participants to freely choose their course according to their taste and difficulty level, as if they're planning a trip.
Moreover, when completing courses in Miryang, Suncheon or Gangneung, various souvenirs prepared by the local government will be provided along with the completion package.
Trail Korea will allow participants to freely enjoy programs and certify their trail completion using passport-type stamp books and the exclusive mobile application RUNABLE, which can downloaded on both the App Store and Google Play.
The JTBC Trail Office said this round of JTBC Trail Korea is season 1, for the first half of this year, and the office will continue expanding its courses for the second half of this year.
Registration starts on Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. on the RUNABLE app.
