Lee Jung-hoo homers twice as San Francisco snaps three-game skid

San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo hit two home runs in a game for the second time in his MLB career as the Giants beat the Texas Rangers 5-1 on Monday.

Lee went 3-for-4 with two solo homers and a stolen base in the interleague road game at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The victory ended the Giants’ three-game losing streak.

Batting second and starting in right field, Lee struck out looking in his first plate appearance before homering in the third inning with the Giants leading 2-0.

With one out and no runners on base, Lee connected on an 83-mile-per-hour splitter from Texas starter Cal Quantrill and sent it over the right-center-field wall. It was his seventh home run of the season and his first since a game against the Los Angeles Angels on July 25.

Lee added a single to left field in the fifth inning for his second consecutive multihit game. He then stole second base during Willy Adames’ at-bat for his eighth steal of the season.

Leading off the eighth with the Giants ahead 3-0, Lee hit an 86.3-mile-per-hour slider from Texas reliever Peyton Gray over the right-center-field wall. The 385-foot homer was his eighth of the season and extended the Giants' lead to 4-0.

It marked Lee’s first two-homer game since a game against the New York Yankees on April 14, 2025, a span of 477 days. His eight home runs this season also matched his total from last year.

Lee raised his season batting average to .306 with the three-hit performance.

The Giants went on to win 5-1, improving to 48-65 and snapping their three-game losing streak.
