2011.4.15 Weekend Picks: KBO

* SK Wyverns (7-2) at Nexen Heroes (4-5)

* Mokdong Baseball Stadium, Seoul

* Today, 6:30 p.m.

The SK Wyverns, currently on top in the league standings, will try to continue their strong early-season form when they face the Nexen Heroes this weekend. The Incheon-based Wyverns swept the Heroes in the opening weekend and are looking to recreate the success they had in that two-game set, when they shut down Nexen 2-0 and 5-3.

The Heroes were expected to be bottom-feeders this year, but have been a mild surprise so far thanks to a better-than-advertised defense. Shortstop Kang Jung-ho does a lot of the leg work for the Heroes on both sides of the ball.
