The majority Democratic Party (DP) is embarrassed by Wednesday’s news report that President Yoon Suk Yeol is allegedly considering recruiting former DP lawmaker Park Young-sun as a candidate for the next prime minister; Yang Jung-chul, a close aide to former President Moon Jae-in, as Yoon’s chief of staff; and Kim Jong-min, another former DP lawmaker, as a special minister handling political affairs in the Yoon administration.
