After Korea’s Supreme Court upheld a lower court’s ruling Tuesday ordering Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal to compensate four Koreans for forced labor during Japan’s colonization of the Korean Peninsula, Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono said that the court’s decision was “totally unacceptable.”
