The tax subcommittee of the National Assembly’s Strategy and Finance Committee decided to include a religious category in the revised tax code bill to levy an income tax on clergy and religious organizations starting from 2018. The Saenuri Party hopes the revision’s approval will be delayed after the presidential election so as not to irritate religious groups.
