The Buddhist bell of Cheongeun Temple is one of the most beautiful bells from the Goryeo period.
The elegantly curved form, the hook in the shape of a powerful dragon and images of flying angels and lotus flowers all make this bell a unique work of art.
Like other bells made during the period, the body is not filled with decorations, but has a simple design. The rim of the bell is decorated with carved flowers and beads.
The bell also has an inscription describing when and where it was made.
