K Auction has named a female chief executive at a major Korean conglomerate its newest CEO.
The nation’s second-largest art auction house announced Thursday that its board of directors had appointed Shinn Meenam, former president of Doosan Fuel Cell BU, a unit of Doosan Group, as its next leader. She will take the post if approved by shareholders at a meeting later this month.
Shinn, who has a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering and has been a researcher, consultant and start-up founder, will help “prepare the new environment where art and technology are combined,” K Auction said in a press release.
