Gathering and modernizing Children's folk song

Hong Yang-ja, a Professor of Korean traditional music at Dongguk University, has just published a book entitled, "Looking for Korean Children's Folk Songs".

Professor Han is a Korean-Japanese music historian who is famous for revealing the true origins of a popular Korean children's song "Fox, fox what are you doing now?". Through her research Professor Yang revealed that the song had actually been transplanted from Japan to Korea.

The book is published by URI Educational and cost 10,000 won (about $9). In the book, the author attempts to catalog and classify folk songs found all over Korea.
