Street paraders walk the streets of Gangeung, Gangwon, during the eight-day Gangneung Danoje cultural festival on Saturday. The festival successfully concluded on Monday. It had opened in full scale for the first time after a three-year pandemic hiatus. Some 500,000 people participated in this year's event. Gangneung Danoje celebrates Korea’s traditional religions such as Confucianism, Shamanism and Buddhism. It was designated a Unesco Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2005.
