[TALK OF THE TOWN] Pretty boy for Thai tourism

Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul, the Thai-born member of the Korean boy band 2PM, was appointed the goodwill ambassador of the Tourism Authority of Thailand last Tuesday.

At the appointment ceremony held at The Shilla hotel, central Seoul, the 21-year-old singer said that he was honored to be the face of the new tourism campaign ,“Come to Thailand, Let’s Take a Break.” Nichkhun was born in Thailand but holds American citizenship.

As a goodwill ambassador, Nichkhun will appear on posters, TV commercials, travel guidebooks and Web sites for the TAT until October 2010.
