Korea reported 40,842 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, up 11,350 from the same day the previous week, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
The number of critically ill patients was 242 and there were 26 deaths.
The accumulative total of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Korea stands at 25,396,155.
