Nancy Lang’s father is actually alive

A music critic has revealed that veteran pop singer Park Song-rok is the father of Nancy Lang despite long-held assertions that her father is dead.

Lang, whose real name is Park Hye-ryung, long maintained that her father was killed in a traffic accident. But Byun Hee-jae forced her to change her tune.

Lang shot back at Byun in a media interview, saying the “painful family affair” was “none of your business,” but did not deny that her father was living. She did not explicitly reveal his identity, but major portal sites changed Lang’s profile to introduce Park Sang-rok as her father.

The performance artist added that she has had no contact with her father since her mother died from cancer a few years ago.

Media also questioned the father about the dramatic turn of events.

“I did wrong to my family,” Park Sang-rok said in an interview with JTBC Entertainment News that aired on Friday. “It is such a painful family history, so I can’t say anything more.”
