King’s petition

A royal procession of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897) is re-enacted yesterday. It wended from Daehan Gate at Deoksu Palace to Sajikdan, an altar to the state deities nearby. Joseon kings led rituals to the state deities in the fall to pray for a good harvest and peace in the country. By Oh Jong-taek
