Eight Chinese fishing boats were caught and seized by Korea's Coast Guard on the west coast for anchoring in the area for an extended period without permission. 

The Chinese ships were charged with violation of the Ship Act and the Public Waters Management and Reclamation Act, according to Korea's Central Regional Coast Guard on Tuesday.
