Super Junior-83z to release first EP 'Promise' on July 13

Super Junior-83z, a subunit of veteran K-pop group Super Junior, will release its debut EP "Promise" on July 13, its agency SM Entertainment said Wednesday.

The unit consists of Leeteuk and Heechul, with the name of the duo a reference to the fact that both were born in 1983.

The EP features six tracks, including the lead track of the same name, which is a song built on a 2000s-inspired band sound.

Onsaemiro, a rock ballad, will also be part of the EP. The two members first performed the song during Super Junior's 20th anniversary concert in April, and a performance video was released on July 1.

Leeteuk and Heechul debuted in 2005 as members of Super Junior with the full-length album "Super Junior05." The two are set for a fan concert tour that will kick off with three shows at the Olympic Hall between July 24 and 26, then move on to various stops in Asia.
