Netflix and JTBC to collaborate on dating reality show

Global streaming over-the-top (OTT) service Netflix will be collaborating with local cable channel JTBC to create a dating reality show “Singles’ Inferno,” the platform announced on Thursday.

“Singles’ Inferno” will revolve around the relationships between 10 men and women trapped on an island.  

Producer Kim Jae-won behind the second season of traveling reality show “Traveler” (2020) and “Just Comedy” (2020) on JTBC and writer Ji Hyun-sook of the third season of “2 Days & 1 Night” (2013-2019) on KBS and now-airing “Unexpected Business” on tvN will take helm of the series.  

The show will be accepting applications through Netflix’s official YouTube channel and Instagram.
