Members of girl group Rescene will show off football skills they learned from Manchester City players in Coupang Play's "Rescene Man City Attack!" entertainment program, set for release at 4 p.m. on Friday.
In the show, Manchester City players Rúben Dias, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Nico González coach the members in juggling and kicking before taking part in a five-on-four match.
Rescene also rewrote a version of its song “Love Attack” (2024) for the players to perform for them. The track was originally released in August 2024 as part of the group’s first EP, “Scenedrome.”
Coupang Play has paired footballers with stars for exclusive content before. In 2023, Blackpink’s Jisoo appeared in a program with City striker Erling Haaland. Tottenham Hotspur players Son Heung-min, Ben Davies and Micky van de Ven have also appeared in Coupang Play's "The White Collars" (2025-).
The new program will be available to both Coupang Wow members and regular Coupang Play users for free.
Manchester City and Atlético Madrid faced each other at Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo District, western Seoul, in the final match of the 2026 Coupang Play Series on Sunday, three years after their previous showdown in Korea. Rescene performed during halftime, with the appearance later leading to the group’s collaboration with the City players featured in the new show.
Having debuted in March 2024 with “Re:Scene” under The Muze Entertainment, Rescene consists of five members: Zena, May, Liv, Minami and Woni. The group’s latest music release was on July 8 with a digital single that features a remake of KARA’s 2008 hit song "Pretty Girl."
