Walt Disney Company Korea will release a "Toy Story"–themed goods collection with Peaceminusone, the fashion label founded by singer G-Dragon, the company announced Monday.
The collection runs under the concept “The First Fan,” a nod to the idea that our toys were our earliest fans, cheering each of us on as small children since the beginning of our lives. Developed with the creative platform company Play in the Box, the collection comprises roughly 70 items spanning action figures, plush toys, lifestyle goods and mobile accessories, and will launch in more than 10 cities across the Asia Pacific including Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei and Shanghai.
The artwork of the collection pairs the now-classic "Toy Story" characters — Woody, Buzz, Jessie, the Aliens, Rex and Forky — with Peaceminusone’s signature daisy motif, an approach meant to appeal to longtime fans of the animation films and of the fashion brand, according to Disney.
In Korea, shoppers can buy new merchandise from the collection at a pop-up store in eastern Seoul’s Seongsu-dong neighborhood that will open on July 1. The first floor of the pop-up store recreates a childhood bedroom, complete with Woody and Buzz silhouettes, while the second is given over to browsing and purchases.

Tech accessories brand Casetify also joins as a partner for a three-way collaboration launching worldwide this Wednesday, a release timed to mark Peaceminusone’s 10th anniversary. The Casetify collaboration displays previously unseen "Toy Story" artwork and includes phone cases for recent iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models, among them a “First Fan” symbol case and a “Friendship Case.”
A limited goods line, including a daisy jewel pin, will be sold exclusively through Casetify’s website. Retail company Musinsa will offer additional limited-edition toys and jewelry through its online and offline channels.
The collaboration follows the Korean release of “Toy Story 5” last Wednesday, which opened atop the domestic box office. The fifth installment of the "Toy Story" franchise, the film is the first follow-up to the franchise in seven years and follows the now worn-out toys with their new owner Bonnie, battling the onset of a tech-craze that has turned to a neglect of traditional toys.
