Chef Lee, who also won U.S. cooking competition “Iron Chef America” in 2010, will visit Korea to shoot the show. He currently owns the restaurant 610 Magnolia in Louisville, Kentucky.
“Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,” first launched in 2014 and garnered significant popularity, pitting top chefs against each other for 15 minutes to see who could best cook for weekly celebrity guests using whatever was in their refrigerator. The show’s final episode was aired on Nov. 25, 2019.
The reboot marks the show's 10th anniversary. Its original staff, including producer Lee Chang-woo, will join forces once again, returning after five years.
“We are exploring various ways to change its format, such as its cast, while preserving the originality of ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,’” producer Lee said in a press release. “We ask for your continued interest in the newly returning show.”
