Big Bang to release 20th anniversary single 'BiiiG' on Aug. 19

Boy band Big Bang will release a digital single marking its 20th anniversary since its debut on Aug. 19, its agency YG Entertainment said Monday.

The song, titled “BiiiG,” will be the group’s first release in four years and four months after "Still Life" in April 2022.

"The song will show the very exact moment Big Bang finds itself in today," the agency said. "Listeners may anticipate a new musical spectrum that Big Bang will present in the upcoming long-awaited return."

Soon after the release, Big Bang will embark on its world tour "XX : Cosmos" in Goyang, Gyeonggi, starting Aug. 21. It is set to tour 19 cities worldwide and deliver 33 performances, with additional tour dates and venues to be announced at a later date.

Big Bang debuted in August 2006 as a quintet under YG Entertainment, with G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri. Its hit tracks include "Lies" (2007),  "Haru Haru" (2008) and  "Bang Bang Bang" (2015). As T.O.P and Seungri left the group, Big Bang now has three members: G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung.
