Rookie boy rock band AxMxP is ready to weave into people’s everyday lives through easy-to-listen songs on its second EP "Hello AxMxP."
The six-song album, set to be released Wednesdayat 6 p.m., centers on a narrative in which four young men come together and grow as a band — a story that mirrors the band’s own journey.
“The album is filled with tracks that are easy on the ears, and once you hear them, you will find yourself humming along,” vocalist Ha Yoojoon said.
Guitarist Kim Shin hopes the band’s music will help listeners feel closer to the group.
“By listening to our music in their daily lives, I hope the listeners can get to know our band naturally and enjoy our songs without feeling any pressure,” Kim Shin said.
Drummer Cru said the upcoming songs will brighten one’s mood. “With your eyes closed, the song will evoke the moment when you played with friends during school summer breaks,” Cru said.
Bassist Juwhan added that the uplifting songs will be "perfect to start the day."
Of the six songs on the upcoming EP, "Back To Yesterday" was singled out by three members as the track they would most recommend aside from the title track.

Juwhan said that the track well embodied the pop-like ambience with a catchy chorus, while Ha Yoojoon noted that it captured the feelings he intended to convey through songwriting.
On the upcoming work, Ha Yoojoon participated in the production of multiple tracks.
"I want to leave an impression that 'these songs are AxMxP' once listeners hear them," Ha Yoojoon said. "Despite distinctive emotions and atmosphere per song, I wanted each to be organically connected as a part of a single album."
Kim Shin noted that the new songs will present a new side of the band through sentimental melodies it has not explored before.
Beyond the upcoming release, the band aspires to broaden its musical spectrum and venture into various genres.
“Rather than limiting ourselves to a particular genre, I want to try out any kind of music as long as we can portray our band’s distinctive character,” Ha Yoojoon said. “We would like to show songs featuring refreshing pop sounds to intense rock sounds, all of which are interpreted in our own style.”
The band’s vision also stretches beyond Korea.
Juhwan hopes to perform at Gocheok Sky Dome, one of the largest indoor venues in Seoul. He also dreams of performing at U.S. music festival Coachella.
“We want to perform in international music festivals, such as Coachella, Summer Sonic and Glastonbury,” Cru said.
