SK Telecom launches new Luna S smartphone model

SK Telecom has launched a high-end smartphone, the Luna S. The new product was released Wednesday at a price of 568,700 won ($506), cheaper than other premium phones with similar features that usually go for more than 800,000 won.

The Luna S comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD high-resolution screen, four gigabytes of RAM and finger scanning technology. Its 13 megapixel front camera is the first in Korea to have an auto-focus feature.

Preorders began last Friday and ended Wednesday, and 50 percent of reservations were made by owners of smartphones worth over 800,000 won.
