Naver Webtoon's Line Manga to offer streaming service with NTT Docomo

Line Manga, Naver Webtoon’s Japanese service, will showcase an animation streaming service in partnership with Tokyo-based telecommunications service provider NTT Docomo, Naver Webtoon said Wednesday.

The service, d Anime Store for Line Manga, is the first subscription-based streaming service offered by Line Manga.

The newly installed “anime” tab inside the Line Manga mobile application will allow users to watch more than 4,000 animated works through streaming. The available works for streaming will be kept updated.

The underlying scheme of d Anime store, operated by NTT Docomo, is a subscription-based animation streaming service with 4 million members.

The partnership with NTT Docomo aligns with Naver Webtoon's drive to expand cartoon and intellectual property-based experiences in accordance with consumers’ behavioral patterns per region. Naver Webtoon provides an exclusive short-form content service, Cuts, to Korean readers and a similar Watch function to international readers.
