Hyundai Motor releases upgraded Ioniq 5 EV in Korea

Hyundai Motor launched its 2027 Ioniq 5 EV in Korea, featuring enhanced safety features and more competitive pricing, the automaker said Tuesday. 

The Long Range standard model has been reorganized into five trims — E-Lite, Modern, Premium, Inspiration and N Line — while the Standard model has been consolidated into a single E-Value+ trim.

Hyundai Motor said the 2027 lineup is priced lower than comparable previous trims to strengthen its competitiveness in the EV market. Prices range from 47.35 million won to 61.5 million won ($30,990 to $40,250).

The Modern trim, which includes optimized specifications from the former Exclusive trim, is priced 1.6 million won lower than its predecessor. The Premium trim, which succeeds the Prestige trim with a revised feature package, is priced 900,000 won lower.

All 2027 Ioniq 5s will come equipped with a tailgate emergency lamp.
