Hana Bank has launched a new center dedicated to foreign exchange capital transactions to meet the increasingly diverse needs of corporations and high-net-worth individuals, the bank announced on Wednesday.

The bank’s new foreign exchange capital transactions center at Place 1 in Samseong-dong in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, aims to provide complex and diverse services, including foreign direct investment, overseas securities purchases and emigration-related transactions. The center will also work with major law and accounting firms on complex cross-border transactions.

Specifically, customers can receive consultation on a range of services, such as filing foreign direct investment reports, opening foreign currency accounts and completing foreign exchange reporting requirements related to domestic and overseas investments and real estate purchases.

For Korean nationals returning from overseas, the center plans to offer specialized services including remittances for overseas relocation, overseas asset acquisition and foreign exchange reporting.

“We will work to offer faster, more tailored financial solutions for complex foreign exchange transactions and strengthen our position as Korea’s leading specialist in foreign exchange services,” said Hana Bank CEO Lee Ho-sung in a statement.
